Fostering Connections Through Camp Connect

Camp Connect is still accepting campers for this year!

Quick Details:

Dates:  August 10 – 15th
Where:  Camp Manidokan in Knoxville, MD – we have a bus that goes from Baltimore Co DSS on York Rd. on Tuesday and back on Sunday
Who:  ANY separated siblings with one sib in care ages 7 – 18 – others may be home with parent, or in a finalized adoption/guardianship home (even a sib group in recently finalized adoptive homes would be fine)
Cost:  NONE – thanks to generous support from DHS
Staffing:  Counselors are adult volunteers, primarily social workers from BCoDSS, one from Harford Co, and one from Frederick Co.

Note that Camp Connect is not equipped to serve physically and/or severely developmentally disabled youth, but because of the high counselor:camper ratio and the number of clinical social workers, behavioral challenges are not a barrier.

IMPORTANT! COVID-19 Immunizations are required for campers aged 12 and over. In order for it to be effective before the start of camp, they must be received no later than July 6th.
