One scholarship each year is designated the Gordon Evans Scholarship in memory of a man who gave so much of himself to NFPA and the many children he fostered, as well as the untold numbers of people whose lives he affected.
Up to six scholarships of $500 each are awarded annually.
Scholarships may be awarded to current foster children, biological, or adopted children of an NFPA member.
Applications open on Monday, February 10, 2020, and close on Sunday, April 5, 2020.
Scholarship awards are granted for post-secondary education, including college/university, vocational, or job training.

Good Morning,
This morning I was so excited to receive your email regarding scholarship opportunities for foster and adoptees. However, I am a mother of two young children who I adopted in 2015. My son attends a private school and each year I look for funding through scholarships and grants however most scholarships are gear towards high school students entering college. I am looking for a scholarship that can assist a single mother of a child in a private elementary and beyond. Are you aware of scholarship opportunites for my young son?
We are sending your comment to a member of the MRPA team, and will get back with you with any ideas they may have!
