Update Message on the Coronavirus (COVID-19)

The University of Maryland has provided directives and guidelines that, effective immediately, limits meetings and large gatherings, encourages social distancing, remote working and learning, and tightens guidance regarding travel.

Our number one priority is the health and safety of our registrants, presenters, and staff. The Child Welfare Academy at The Institute for Innovation and Implementation (The Institute) is closely monitoring information from Maryland, Department of Health, and the Center for Disease Control.

In accordance with this guidance we are postponing any in person training scheduled between now and April 30, 2020.

We will be in touch with you regarding new dates and times, or online options, as soon as possible.

We understand that this can be a stressful time and we hope that, with all of these precautions, we can do our part to slow the spread of the virus while continuing to do important work on behalf of children, youth, and families.

We urge everyone to follow CDC guidelines and protocols. For the most up-to-date information about COVID-19, visit the dedicated knowledge centers on the WHO and CDC websites, and check with your local health organization.
