DAY ONE of the conference will focus on federal, state and local changes and innovations in the foster care and court systems to enhance child well-being and improve outcomes. DAY TWO will feature our inspirational keynote speaker, followed by a series of three breakout sessions featuring more than 15 workshops on a variety of topics. We are excited to have Sixto Cancel as our keynote speaker. Sixto is the Founder and CEO of Think of Us, a national nonprofit organization that empowers youth in foster care to make their voices heard in improving care. Having spent his childhood and adolescence in foster care, Sixto Cancel had an inside look at the foster care system and, while still in care, began his efforts to transform the system to better meet the needs of children and youth.
